Tour two of the biggest tourist attractions in Playa del Carmen in one easy excursion!  Travel in air-conditioned style directly from your Playa del Carmen hotel or the ferry pier to the Tulum Mayan Ruins, the walled city of the Mayas.  Hire a guide and take a trip back into the past, as you're wowed by the lost empire of the Mayas.

Then we'll head for Aktun Chen, an amazing subterranean cavern, filled with awesome stalactite and stalagmite formations and an underground river.  You'll see sculptures formed naturally by the water and calcium carbonate over the millennia, and take a guided walking tour of the inside of the main cave.  Outside, you are able to see some of the native species of the 988 acre wildlife preserve, and enjoy refreshments and food at the cave's restaurant.

When:  Daily on Your Schedule.

Where: Pick-up and drop-off at your Playa del Carmen or Riviera Maya Hotel.  For cruise passengers, we pick up in downtown Playa del Carmen at the ferry pier. 

How Long: Approximately 6 Hours. You don't have to stay the full 6 hours if you are pressed for time.  We'll get you back in time.  Additional Hours are also available if you have more time.

Cruise Passengers: Yes! This excursion is available to you and will work with most cruise schedules.  We will adjust the start time to work for you. Pick-up and drop-off is even included in the price!

Kids: All ages welcome. Kids same price as adults. This tour is priced per person. If you are 8 adults and 1 kid in the vehicle, choose the 9-People van.

Notes:

A private guide can be hired at the Tulum entrance gate for approx. $35.00 for up to 5 people. Larger groups add approx. $2.00 per person. Your driver will show you where to go. This fee is for your whole group to have your own private guide for a 45-minute tour. You also have the option of just exploring on your own without a guide.

If you plan to use a video camera inside Tulum, you will need to pay a $3.50 USD government video tax.

There is a small restaurant on site at Aktun Chen.

We can visit a different cenote such as Dos Ojos or Kantuchi Chan for the same price, just write your preference in the special instructions box when booking.
