Tour two of the biggest
tourist attractions in Playa del Carmen in one
easy excursion! Travel in air-conditioned
style directly from your Playa del Carmen hotel
or the ferry pier to the Tulum Mayan Ruins, the
walled city of the Mayas. Hire a guide and
take a trip back into the past, as you're wowed
by the lost empire of the Mayas.
Then we'll head for Aktun
Chen, an amazing subterranean cavern, filled
with awesome stalactite and stalagmite
formations and an underground river.
You'll see sculptures formed naturally by the
water and calcium carbonate over the millennia,
and take a guided walking tour of the inside of
the main cave. Outside, you are able to
see some of the native species of the 988 acre
wildlife preserve, and enjoy refreshments and
food at the cave's restaurant.
When: Daily on Your
Schedule.
Where: Pick-up and
drop-off at your Playa del Carmen Hotel.
For cruise passengers, we pick up in downtown
Playa del Carmen at the ferry pier.
There is an additional charge for pickup at hotels north of
Playa del Carmen, because we have to drive the
opposite direction to pick you up and
double-back.
How Long: Approximately 6 Hours. You
don't have to stay the full 6 hours if you are
pressed for time. We'll get you back in
time. Additional Hours are also available
if you have more time.

Notes:
A private guide can be hired at
the Tulum entrance gate for about $30.00 USD.
Your driver will show you where to go.
This fee is for your whole group to have your
own private guide for a 45-minute tour. You also
have the option of just exploring on your own
without a guide.
If you plan to use a video camera inside
Tulum, you will need to pay a $3.50 USD
government video tax.
Your Entrance fee at Aktun Chen
includes a one-hour and fifteen minute guided tour
of the cave.
There is a small restaurant on
site at Aktun Chen.
