Rio Lagartos is a wetland famed for its beauty and its enormous population of pink flamingos.  Stretching over a vast area of nearly 155 square miles (250 sq km), Rio Lagartos is home to over 375 species of birds and lots of other unique wildlife.  This tour will take you on a boat expedition through these famous wetlands, recognized by the United Nations in 1986, and to visit their famous pink salt baths.

It will also take you on a tour of Ek Balam, one of the gems of the Mayan ruins sites of the Riviera Maya.  Here your guide will enlighten you about the amazing culture that is the Mayas, and their legacy.  Stop in a Mayan Village, where you can interact with the local villagers and see how they live today.  You'll also enjoy a home cooked meal in a Mayan Restaurant of Shrimp Crepes, Sea Trout Fillet, and Grouper Fillet with battered or grilled shrimp!  Quite a feast!
