The referral course is
probably our favorite option for getting
certified to scuba dive in Playa del Carmen.
You can do all the classroom, pool time, and
book work back in the comfort of your own home,
then come to Playa del Carmen and do the
required open water dives in the warm, blue
Caribbean waters. You don't spend any of
your vacation time in the classroom, and don't
waste any diving time in icy cold and dark
northern waters. It's the best of both
worlds!
You will just need to get a
form signed by your dive shop at home saying
you've completed the academic portion of your
Open Water certification course, bring it with
you to Playa del Carmen, and start diving!
At the end of your four required open water
dives, you'll be certified to dive in open water
for life, anywhere in the world, with or without
a divemaster, to depths of up to 60 feet (18
meters).
Requires: Proof of
completion of academic portion of a licensed
Open Water Certification course, either in
Mexico or at home in your country.
When: Monday
through Saturday at
12:30 PM.
Where: Meet at the
dive shop in Downtown Playa del Carmen. Detailed directions will accompany your
reservation.

Cruise Passengers: This is a
multi-day course, so is not a good option for a
cruise excursion, however you can do our reef
dives.
