Different than our Sian Kaan tour, this engaging
eco-adventure enters the Sian Kaan Biosphere to
see the Muyil Mayan ruins site, as well as the
eco-boat trip through the wetlands. As you
approach the coastal ruins, your expert
biological guide will illustrate the relevance
of this ancient Mayan trading-post, the
outstanding history of the Moon Goddess
Ixchel and her role in this striking
city.
You will hike an educational path and learn about the flora
and fauna of this amazing jungle. On the way to
the Muyil lagoon, we will stop for a gaze at the
highest mirador of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere for
a unique view of the reserve. Once you meet
your local skipper, you will go for a 2 hour
boat-ride across the wetlands. Visit a secret
Maya temple and drift off an ancient canal. You
will float in translucent fresh water; the
natural tide will take you across the mangrove.
Once back in Muyil, we will share our experience
of this wonderful day around a small cheese and
wine appetizer.
This tour features very small groups, providing a uniquely
intimate and enriching experience. It
visits a part of Sian Kaan that allows you to
enjoy the essence of the Biosphere in a much
shorter day than other tours.

Sunday. Exact pick-up time will be shown
on your confirmation and e-ticket.
Where: Pick-up at
hotels from Akumal to Tulum is free.
Pick-up at hotels from Playa del Carmen to
Akumal is $10.00 per person, payable in cash on
the day of the tour. Pick-up is
not available for hotels north of Playa del
Carmen.
