The Jungle Maya Expedition is
the most extreme adventure tour in Playa del
Carmen! Eight different adventures and a
real Mayan cultural experience all in one great
tour. Get ready for a real adventure!
Load into our all-terrain Mercedes Benz Unimog and
4x4 down the dirt roads and jungle trails of Playa
del Carmen and the Riviera Maya to the Mayan village
of Rancho San Felipe. Embark on an unforgettable
snorkeling adventure, through the crystal-clear
fresh water caverns of Nohoch Chich Cenote system,
one of the longest explored underground river systems
in the world. See the famed limestone stalactites
and stalagmites from under the water in all their
glory!
Back in the safari truck now,
we'll drive through the narrow jungle paths,
then take a short nature hike to Yaxmuul cenote, where
you can swim in the cool waters and relax in hammocks.
Along the way, your guide will introduce you to
the unique biodiversity of the Mayan jungle.
Your adventure is only beginning, as you travel
to the Kantenah Nature Reserve, where we'll
find a hidden cenote. Rappel 50 feet down into the
cenote and leisurely float and swim. Then
get ready for fun as you fly on three zip lines
from tree to tree in the jungle!
Now it's time for some Mayan
culture, as you participate in a traditional
Mayan cleansing ceremony inside of a dry cave.
Finally, we'll enjoy a home-cooked Mayan feast prepared by the
Mayan women of the ranch, and visit with the
residents of the community, embracing their
culture and history. This tour is really
packed with adventure!
