Trek with us through the jungles
of the Riviera Maya as we visit some very special
sites of this area of Mexico. We'll start
out with a visit to the Coba Mayan Ruins, the largest
of the Mayan cities of the Yucatan, not yet fully
excavated. You'll have opportunity to climb
the great pyramid, where you will be treated to
vast vistas of rain forest with the Caribbean Sea
beyond. You will visit areas outside of the
normal tour boundaries, seeing parts of Coba that
few ever see.
We'll cool off with a swim in
a sacred Mayan cenote, followed by a delicious
Mayan lunch at a local restaurant. The second
half of your adventure will take you to the Punta
Laguna Monkey Preserve, a sanctuary for howler monkeys
and spider monkeys. See the monkeys in their
natural habitat, screeching and swinging from the
treetops. A real treat for any visitor to
the tropical rain forest! Finally, we'll visit
a crystal-clear laguna, where we can enjoy
snorkeling.
