After complimentary pick up
at your Playa del Carmen hotel, you'll travel in
air-conditioned comfort non-stop to the
impressive Coba Mayan Ruins. Here, you can
explore this once-mighty empire, and even climb
the great pyramid, giving you awesome views over
the Mayan jungle below. The ruins are
large and spread out, so there are bicycles and
pedicabs (rickshaws) for rent at the gate, and
expert trained guides available for hire at the
entrance to give you incredible insight about
the Mayans of Coba, and help you enjoy your
visit to the ruins even more.
After your visit, we'll take
you directly back to your hotel (or the ferry
pier if you prefer). For Calica guests, we
can drop you just outside the cruise pier and
you can walk inside. This is a great way
to make the most of your time in Playa del
Carmen. These trips are fully
customizable, so you can stop for shopping or
lunch if you like, or add extra hours to see
even more.

Where: Pick-up and
drop-off at your Playa del Carmen Hotel.
For cruise passengers, we pick up in downtown
Playa del Carmen at the ferry pier.
There is an additional charge for pickup at hotels north of
Playa del Carmen, because we have to drive the
opposite direction to pick you up and
double-back.
How Long: Approximately 6 Hours. You
don't have to stay the full 6 hours if you are
pressed for time. We'll get you back in
time. Additional Hours are also available
if you have more time. Coba is
approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes from Playa
del Carmen.
Additional Hours: $37.50 per hour for
1-8 people, or $45.00 per hour for 9-14 people.

Notes:
A private guide can be hired at
the ruins entrance gate for about $30.00 USD.
Your driver will show you where to go.
This fee is for your whole group to have your
own private guide for a 45-minute tour. You also
have the option of just exploring on your own
without a guide.
You can hire a pedicab to take
you around the ruins site for $10 (a great idea
for those with limited mobility) or you can
rent a bicycle for $3.50.
If you plan to use a video camera inside
Coba, you will need to pay a $3.50 USD
government video tax.
Kids: All ages are welcome.
