This tour makes a great
cruise shore excursion, or just a fun day out.
You start with a non-stop air-conditioned ride
to Tulum, where you can tour the ruins site.
If you have time afterward, you can also go down
to the beach below the ruins and swim.
After you've embraced the
Mayan civilization at Tulum, we'll travel to Yal-Ku
Lagoon, home of some of the best snorkeling in
the Riviera Maya. Here in this calm and
secluded lagoon, you will be able to go
snorkeling with tons of tropical fish and coral,
and if you're lucky you may even spot one of the
many sea turtles that inhabit the lagoon.
There are changing facilities, a snack bar, and
lockers available at Yal-Ku.
Want to stay longer? No
problem! You can stretch this to a full
day tour if you want to spend some time on the
beach, swim, have lunch, or swim at Tulum.
Just choose to add extra hours below.
When: Daily on Your
Schedule.
Where: Pick-up and
drop-off at your Playa del Carmen Hotel or the
Playa del Carmen ferry pier.
There is an additional charge for pickup at hotels north of
Playa del Carmen, because we have to drive the
opposite direction to pick you up and
double-back.
How Long: Approximately 6 Hours. You
don't have to stay the full 6 hours if you are
pressed for time. We'll get you back in
time. Additional Hours are also available
if you have more time.

Notes:
A private guide can be hired at
the Tulum entrance gate for 500 pesos (about
$35) for 1-8 people or 700 pesos (about $50).
Your driver will show you where to go.
This fee is for your whole group to have your
own private guide for a 45-minute tour. You also
have the option of just exploring on your own
without a guide.
Snorkeling Equipment is
available for rent at Yal-Ku Lagoon, if you
don't have any, for about $7.00.
If you plan to use a video camera inside
Tulum, you will need to pay a $3.50 USD
government video tax.
