At the far north end of the
Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico lies Isla Holbox, a
sleepy, largely untouristed island paradise that
is known primarily for its tours to see large
concentrations of whale sharks. Part of
the Yum Balam Biosphere nature preserve, Isla
Holbox is home to an amazing array of nature,
including pelicans, manta rays and huge flocks
of pink flamingos.
Our tour from Playa del
Carmen begins Chiquila and we will board boats and head for
beautiful Island, home to huge flocks of
tropical birds including pink flamingos, and
even wild dolphins!
Once we arrive at Holbox, we will have lunch at a restaurant,
where you can relax on the
beach and explore the Island. This is an opportunity you don't want to miss!
