CHICHEN ITZA EXCURSIONS FAQ's

Q: I'M ON A CRUISE SHIP - CAN I DO THESE TOURS?
A: The only one that is a maybe would be the private tour.  You'll still need at least 10 hours, but if you're in port long enough, you can do this one.  On a cruise excursion, though, you'll be better served to visit Tulum or Coba, both of which are much closer.

Q: HOW FAR AWAY IS CHICHEN ITZA?
A: Chichen Itza is about a 2.5 hour drive from Playa del Carmen.

Q: I'M NOT SURE WHICH MAYAN RUINS SITE TO SEE?
A: If you are staying in Playa del Carmen, and only have time to see one ruins site, Chichen Itza should be it.  It is the only ruins site in the area to be a "wonder of the world" and a UNESCO Heritage Site.  It is the most impressive ruins site in the area, and the most famous.  The other sites are great too, but there is only one Chichen Itza.
