A totally unique Mayan tour experience in the shadow of one of the largest Mayan Ruins sites of Mexico, Coba. After hotel pick-up, we'll start out by taking a bike tour of the Coba ruins, where your guide will open your eyes to the magnificent Mayan empire. Then after your Mayan experience you can either visit a Mayan ceramics workshop, where you can learn to make pottery in the traditional way, just as the local people do or enjoy a wild adventure that includes zip-lines and a refreshing cenote swim.
Next up is dinner by sunset from the second floor of our lagoon-side restaurant, spectacular! You'll enjoy live music during dinner before witnessing an exciting Mayan ballgame and more! Quite a different experience from any other tour in Playa del Carmen.
Choose Your Own Adventure! Part of this tour features two great custom experiences! Choose between:
Mayan Culture & Workshop: Visit authentic Mayan villas! Learn first-hand from real Mayan descendants about their culture, medicines and gastronomy. Then participate in a Mayan Pottery Workshop where you’ll learn ancient artisan techniques and create your own clay masterpiece which you’ll be able to take home as a souvenir.
Dive Into a Cenote & Lagoon Zipline: The perfect experience for adrenaline-junkies! This alternative will have you flying over the Coba lagoon on the longest zip line in the region (around 1700 feet in length). You’ll complement the adrenaline rush by diving into the crystalline clear waters of an underground cenote full of stalagmites and stalactites!
