Want to try scuba diving in Playa del Carmen but you're not certified yet? This is the program for you. The Discover Scuba Diving course, also known as the Resort Course, offers non-certified divers a chance to experience the underwater world of Playa del Carmen without the time commitment or expense of a full fledged Open Water Certification course.

Your PADI certified instructor will help you become familiar with the equipment, techniques, basic principles, and to get comfortable with breathing underwater. Once you're ready to go, you'll board our dive boat and under close supervision of your divemaster, you will go out and dive on beautiful Reef. You can then join us on our open water dives throughout your stay in Playa del Carmen.

This course certifies you to dive with a divemaster to depths of 30 feet for this vacation only. You will need to take it again on your next visit abroad unless you get certified before you can dive again. Prepare yourself for an exciting exploration of the underwater world through this program!

Requires: No Certification Required!

When: Monday to Saturday at 12:00 PM.

Where: Pick-up at your Playa del Carmen or Riviera Maya hotel. Detailed instructions will accompany your confirmation.

How Long: 5 Hours Approximately.

RESTRICTIONS

1) No alcohol before diving
2) No hangovers
3) No flying for at least 24 hours after diving
4) All participants are required to fill out a Medical Questionnaire prior to diving. If you will answer yes to any of the listed items, you will need to bring a note from your doctor clearing you to scuba dive. This is a standard PADI form used by all PADI dive shops worldwide. Please review it prior to booking to determine if you will need to visit your doctor prior to your trip.
5) People with limited mobility, recent surgeries, recent injuries, back problems, or who are pregnant are not allowed to participate in the tour.

Carmona was the head guide for our tour bus. Everything was amazing except for one detail. When I bought the trip they told me that the pick-up location would be in Plaza Antigua in front of Elite Lockers across from Hertz-Rent-A-Car. It was not. It *was* in Plaza Antigua, but it was at the bus stop next to the big sign that says "Plaza A", on the northbound side of the street, across from Budget-Rent-A-Car. It's about 20 meters to the right of where they told me(a few businesses up down the street). A few tour buses stopped on that street in the time that I waited, and the only reason I succeeded to catch the right bus was because I was waiting at the location I was told, and saw a bus about 20 meters away down the street a minute or two before the official pickup time, and started to get suspicious that that might be my bus. I walked over to the bus, and the first word out of the guide's mouth was my name, asking if that was me, so I knew. Other than that, this was an amazing experience I would recommend to anyone. I will never forget it.
