The ideal dolphin experience for young children, those on a budget, or those who don't feel comfortable in deep water!  You'll interact with real live dolphins while standing on a 3' underwater platform, rather than swimming in deep water as in the other dolphin activities.  The dolphins will give you a hug and handshake, and let you feel and pet their special skin.  They will amaze you with their acrobatics, and high rates of speed!  In addition, you will learn about the dolphins, their habits, and their natural environment.

This dolphin encounter activity is a wonderful experience for the whole family - kids as small as 1 year old can participate.  After the activity, buy a photo or video of your actual encounter - sure to bring a smile to your face for years to come.  A real memory in Playa del Carmen.

Cruise Passengers: Yes! This makes a great cruise shore excursion. The dolphin center is only 10 minutes from the Calica cruise pier, and 15 minutes from the Playa del Carmen Ferry Pier!

Kids: Ages 1 and up. Kids' prices apply to ages 6-12 years. Kids 1-5 years are free. Kids under 10 years old or under 4' 6' tall (140 cm) must be accompanied by a paying adult (2 adults if under 4 feet (120cm) tall). Kids will perform age appropriate activities.

Restrictions: Pregnant women are not allowed to do the dolphin swim. No sunscreen or jewelry allowed for the safety of the dolphins.

Location: The Dolphin Center is about 10 minutes south of Playa del Carmen and 10 minutes north of Akumal. If you are staying north of Playa del Carmen, please see our other Dolphin Encounter.

Though the manatee experience was delightful, some attention to the way it was presented online could be addressed. I am curious as to why there is a comprehensive experience (dolphins, manatees, sea lions) offered on the main land and not on Cozumel at Chankunaab.

I would highly recommend Cozumel tours. We were a party of 10 and everyone enjoyed the tour. The lunch was very good . The handler of the dolphins was excellent

We loved the Dolphin encounter! 10+. And our guy was great! Iam disappointed about the pictures though, we had 7 family members each of us wanted some photos, we didn't have a lot of great ones, but we each wanted a few and they wouldn't sell them to us, we had to buy them all and they were too much for us! And it was for only 1 that isn't a fair price! We went online and to get 2 pics it was . That's too much! If we could get 3 photos our pick for you would sell so many more! Could you give us that deal? We would all buy! Please let me know! Thank you
